Migration

Migration and Soar's inspiration have come from images captured by photographer Ben Hall who kindly let me use his photographs to make these two prints.

I began with the sky for Migration, no cutting just sponging the clouds on the lino for each print one at a time so all the skies are different.

These flamingoes do exist in the Andes and do migrate mainly to do with elevation and temperature. They don't fly very far and mostly at night so Ben was very lucky to capture this fantastic image.

I've entered the pair into the David Shepherd Wildlife Artist of the Year 26 but won't hear till the end of June as to whether they made it into the final
