Two photographs I took earlier this year, both have been waiting in my head to become prints. The Loe, Porthleven, Cornwall and a tree lined path on Clapham Common. From November and July. My parents used to live in Crinan on the west coast of Scotland. The drive up and down along the loch sides was beautiful. Driving back home one evening in June 2018 it was so gorgeous I just had to stop and take pictures. So this one has been sitting in the back of my mind for a while waiting to be cut. My inspiration, a photo I took one early evening mid July. I love the colours and the way the water is running down the beach away from you into the sea,  making all those crazy water patterns. This is a reduction cut and a limited edition of 8.  First thing I did was flip the photo so I could copy it onto the lino. I took this photo back in July, walking back up from a lovely evening family picnic on the beach near Pendeen. I love the way the last rays of sunshine catch the grasses and flowers on the hillside. That was my challenge for this print. Rinsey Cove, Wednesday the 21st November.  A beautiful place and the light was just amazing, and those waves we've had all week have just been fab. I had a good friend Sally to stay this week, PHEW ! just before the new lockdown and I've taken her to see my favourite places.
